Not everyone wants a heavy and powerful pressure washer. For folks who are inclined towards lightweight light carrying weight and have a low storage requirement, the Karcher K2.27 is a great choice. It comes with the Dirt Blaster spray wand and a VPS wand just as is the case with the expensive X-series. This model even has the stop function that kills the motor the moment the trigger is released thus improving power consumption and noise levels. Best of all, it features an adjustable pressure setting with maximum of 1600PSI and at low engages the siphon tube to extract detergent from an external source. The hose measures about 15 feet long and the entire unit along with the two wands weight about 14 pounds.

Ease Of Use: 5/5

Nothing can be easier than the Karcher K2.27. These German engineers have zeroed down on the precise requirements of a home owner and what a pressure washer should do. From eliminating the need to change spray tips to providing variable pressure, reducing weight to minimum while maintaining the efficiency and simplifying usage, they have brought their A game with this particular model. Life is so much easier when you have such a small and handy power tool to carry around. At just 14 pounds, with dual wands and easy connections, it is a charm to use this beauty.

Noise: 4/5

Not the most silent of electric pressure washers, the noise levels are a tad bit higher with the K2.27 as opposed to the X-series from Karcher. This is probably because they had to resort to using a cheaper commercial motor just to bring down the costs. Nevertheless, it is no louder than the hum of a refrigerator.

Power: 4/5

Do not be fooled by its petite size. Karcher says that it pelts out 1600 PSI. I wasn’t so sure it was a perfect 1600 PSI but 1500ish sounds better. Even then that is a lot of pressure from such a tiny device. Best of all, with the Dirt Blaster wand, you can literally degrease the floor and other surfaces. It has enough power for common household tasks and garage work. Just be careful not to overuse it since the motor is almost always operating at maximum efficiency.

Application: 4/5

Included with Karcher K2.27

When a pressure washer is tiny and yet powerful, there are plenty of avenues to use it. The Karcher K2.27 works well with patio cleaning, floor washing, car wash, vehicle interiors, furniture, kitchen sterilization and much more. What it cannot do are heavy duty cleaning tasks, which is fine considering its petite structure and nominal price tag.

Durability: 4.5/5

I see so many complaints against the Karcher K2.27 regarding its durability. First of all, this is a below $100 pressure washer and so it obviously cuts corners (remember cost to performance ratio?) in order to make the unit affordable. When $200 worth pressure washers don’t last more than couple of years, why should one expect this little beauty to last more than a year? If it works for more than 6 months then you have squeezed all the life out of it. Count every extra day as a blessing. But if you are really interested in prolonging its life then get a heavy duty pressure washer to augment it. At least that ways you know it is not going to fail on you any time soon. Also, remember to winterize this washer as it is entirely plastic and nylon components, which crack easily under freezing water.

Customer Support: 4/5

The one thing you can always be assured of with any Karcher product is outstanding customer support. To some Karcher isn’t at the pinnacle of customer care but I have always had a pleasant experience with them. It is true that some Karcher parts are hard to come by but then again they design most of their things rather well and within the budget range of the actual unit. Expect good response from Karcher for any queries and emergency replacement parts.

Inexpensive, ultra lightweight, Great value for money and cute on the eyes.

The design is flimsy at best and tends to break down after 5 to 6 months of use. Parts are cheap nylon or plastic with an undependable motor.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Light, powerful and affordable – what more can one ask from a pressure washer that costs just under $100. It doesn’t really stand up to the test of time but for as long as it operates, you will not have a single complaint. No leaks, no connection issues and no faulty motor or pump. The day it passes away you will mourn its death for a couple of seconds and decide on getting another K2.27 because it is that cheap and replaceable.
